Hey Chica, you're listening to Episode 164 of The God Center Mom Podcast with me, Heather McFaggy,

and today I'm chatting with Rachel Martin. She's a mom to seven and a mom

encourager over at findingjoy.net. Knowing when there's those moments and letting them go,

like when my son Caleb saw the ocean for the first time and he was in his jeans and I just let him

get wet. Like I think all the inside of me was like it's 58 degrees, it's gonna freeze. But I but

the pictures I got of him afterwards, pure joy, pure pure joy and it was because I released it,

that you turned out fine.

But then there's other times where I have to say,

you know what, guys, I will play with you in a little bit,

but I'm gonna do the dishes right now

because I know it makes me a better mom

because I'm taking care of myself.

So for me, it's about grace.

It's about knowing that sometimes you'll miss the moment

and that's okay.

It's okay because you have the opportunity today

to have many fabulous moments.

And if you live in regret,

you're really missing out on moments today.

You have many chances today to capture those moments.

And by living in regret, we can miss on, wow.

So I've known Rachel for years
