For today's episode, our topic is how to pick your tarot deck.

So let's begin.

So before we start talking about how to find the right deck, let's begin by discussing a very

common Terral myth that you might hear in various circles.

And the myth is this, your first deck must be gifted to you. I'm going to call Malarkey on that. And here's why. For many of us, that's not an option. We might not have people around us who understand or who support Tarot.

And if you're one of those people who are maybe not lucky enough to have a Tarot lover around you,

it might be unlikely that you're going to have someone gift you a tarot deck.

Number two reason, if you're like me you might have people around you who have a very different

aesthetic than you do, which leads to getting a deck that you just don't like. And believe me, most of the

decks that I've been gifted over the years are sitting in a drawer somewhere and they don't

get used around here. Because I'm really picky like that and I believe that your

tarot deck has to be appealing to you in order for it to work well. You know and each of

us is going to have a very different idea of what's attractive. So I want you to think of it like this. Not all of us are

going to find the same person attractive, right? Well, if we're not attracted to a person,

it's very hard to make it work. And Teros kind of like that. You want to find a deck that you can fall in love with, and only you can determine that. And that's why we do not want to let somebody else be the one who picks out the deck for us.

We want to make sure that we're taking charge so that we really truly do have a deck that

appeals to us at every level.
