imagined in the late 20th century.

Why?

Because of artificial intelligence and this magic underneath it called AGI, artificial general intelligence, requiring faster and faster microchips and bigger and bigger commitment to the future of everything being organized around something

that isn't quite human.

To understand this, I need to understand the machinery that delivers where we are in
