Hasan calling in from occupied Lenape Territory and I'm a member of the

Red Nation and indigenous led organization guided by the principles of revolutionary

socialism, indigenous feminism, and decolonization. The Red Nation came

together with the Arab Resource and Organizing Center, as well as the Center for Political Education

to put together the Friday night forums.

These forums are a series of conversations on critical topics which offer us lessons

for international solidarity.

The COVID-19 crisis is a global crisis and thus requires a global response.

By providing anti-imperless perspectives from around the world, we hope to offer left movements in the so-called United States ways to be joint and struggle with those facing the brunt of violence from the US Empire

while keeping in mind anti-racist and anti-colonial struggles

on Turtle Island.

Today we'll be discussing a topic which is facing unprecedented

propaganda warfare from ultra-right warhawks to

liberals and progressives across the US political spectrum, China.

We hope to provide fact-based and historically contextualized narratives which can counter

the yellow peril and xenophobic infused mainstream narratives on China, Chinese people, and Chinese-Americans.

Not only are we seeing waves of anti-Asian hate crimes within the West, but we're also seeing

heightening military aggression in areas surrounding China
