total sales to Europeans. It claims the milestone as the first Chinese automaker to do so. M.G. was founded in the UK. Then, in 2005,

Nanjing Automotive Corporation acquired the MG brand. S-AIC absorbed MG when it acquired Nanjing

two years later in 2007. The badge now sells Chinese volume on European streets.

M.G sold more than 300,000 vehicles across Europe, including the UK, up 30% year-on-year in 2005.

That kept MG as the top-selling Chinese brand in Europe and the UK for the 11th straight year.
