So today we're going to talk about China because we're seeing a series of events unfold that

are going to have some big implications for how the country conducts itself in the future

and that obviously has an impact on us whether it has to do with our national security

or economic security.

Chinese leader, Cheezing Ping has begun the process of locking in an unprecedented third-term

in power, a move that will further solidify his claim to the legacies of Mao and Deng

Xiao Ping.

Meanwhile, the country's economy is going through a shaky period as massive amounts of

debt come due for a giant real estate developer like Evergrande and the government is cracking

down a new tech and finance companies to keep them from accumulating too much power.

So what do you do when your internal politics look shaky?

Well, if you're an authoritarian figure, you'll look abroad.

China has increased its saber-rattling towards Taiwan, sending more planes within the island

nations.

Larger boundaries.

Taiwan and East diplomats are trying to raise alarm bells with visits through European

capitals and one that may land China and now blockade the island's ports and airports.
