Today we are talking about the just announced pricing

for the Gigafactory 3 produced model 3 in China.

Tesla stock on the day today was down 0.86% to $188.22.

This compared to the NASDAQ up 0.27%.

Not a terrible performance considering Tesla suffered another analyst downgrade on the day from Brian Johnson of Barclays

who dropped his price target from $192 to $150 per share

The big news though today followed market close later on this evening with Tesla announcing

pricing for China for the Standard Range Plus Model 3 produced from Gigafactory 3.

The base price for the SR plus will be

328,000 UN that compares to the 377,000 UN base price for the

Standard Range Plus imported version. In US dollars that equates to about 47,500 for the domestically produced

SR Plus and about 54,600 US dollars for the imported SR Plus. So about a 7,000 U.S. price difference, but there is a significant

caveat. The SR Plus domestic version will not come with autopilot on the base vehicle while the

imported SR Plus currently does.

The pricing for autopilot right now in China is 27,800 UN.

That's just above 4,000 US dollars.

So of the $7,000 price difference here between the domestic and import versions, 4,000

of that would be made up from the lack of autopilot.

Regardless of how it's getting there, though, it is still a significantly cheaper-based-priced vehicle than what was available
