China has fiercely rejected NATO leaders claim that it's enabling Russia's war in Ukraine.

It said the NATO gathering meeting in Washington was hyping up Beijing's involvement.

The gathering initially focused on NATO member support for Ukraine

but then moved on to China's role in the conflict

prompting this response from foreign ministry spokesman Linjean.

The spokesman Lin Jan. The declaration of the NATO summit exaggerated the tension in the

Asia Pacific region. It was full of cold war mentality and belligerent rhetoric and the content related to China was full of bias,

smears and provocations.

We strongly deplore and resolutely oppose this.

Strong words then from Beijing,

but is NATO's criticism justified?
