In this episode, on April 21, 2020, the state of Missouri filed suit against China

and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, South Eastern Division.

The state of Missouri versus the People's Republic of China, the Communist Party of China,

is a groundbreaking case called China Accountable. The complaint outlines four key factual allegations.

They are one denying the risk of human need when transmission, two silencing whistleblowers,

three failing to contain the outbreak, four hoarding personal protective equipment.

The lawsuit persuasively argues that the COVID-19 outbreak

is caused hardship in Missouri and across the globe. Death, isolation from second-dying loved ones,

massive unemployment, economic dislocation, uncertainty, and trillions of dollars of economic losses.

I am delighted to have as my guest the Attorney General of Missouri, Eric Schmidt,

who has, I think, shown great courage and also great leadership in being willing to

follow a lawsuit against the Chinese government. Eric, would you share with us what led you to decide
