They did some contract restructures before the Tyree kill signing, which is kind of interesting considering they really didn't need to make the space for it.

Why go and restructure multiple players just to do the Hill deal when you had enough under the cap?

So it starts with Eric Fisher.

He had a conversion of his 9.54 million base salary in 2019.

It is now a roster bonus which will allow them to pro-rate it in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

It reduced his cap number by six and a half million dollars.

They also restructured Anthony Hitchin's contract, converted 5.6 million of his base salary to a guaranteed roster bonus that will pro-rate over 2019 through 2022, which creates 4.2 million dollars in cap space.

Now when you start talking about why they did this they are doing this to do maybe one of three different things.

Either they're working on a deal with Chris Jones,

which could be happening, or they are planning ahead thinking,

okay, well, we're gonna use this money and we'll just

rolled over if we need to and sign Patrick Mahomes in the next off season or what I really think they're

doing is I think they're trying to give themselves as much possible
