locked on chiefs podcast. Welcome back folks. This is locked on chiefs part of the

lockdown network and we're going to have a great show for you today. We are

spotlighting

players in this time while everybody's away before they get back to training camp

we're going to give you our thoughts on two individuals and how they can affect this

team this year. I'm going to talk about Willie Gay a little bit,

you know, it's on my list.

And we have some news as well.

We're going to cover a little bit of how it affects the chiefs

coming up here.

I love it when you interrupt yourself with that that that's awesome. You know hey that's the way that it goes.

Because people tell me I interrupt you and I'm like that sometimes but sometimes Ryan just goes

so you know the mouse doesn't always cooperate mostly, but not always. So it is what it is.

That said, really interested in these guys today that we're going to go over, but the Chiefs made a move that I think putting Laura Krug as the executive vice person and the chief marketing officer, you've seen the chiefs made a lot of changes over the last few years.

Obviously a Super Bowl is going to do that. But in the way that they market the team, the way that they

outreach to not only Chiefs Kingdom, but what is a more national audience at this point with the number of prime time games that they get.

I think this is a really interesting thing and it goes along with the Chiefs being again leaning more and more forward into more female coaches now more

female executives. I think this is a good thing for the organization.

I would agree with that. I think that you look at this situation and it makes a lot of sense that they're moving her up into an executive VP rule. I think she's played a big part in their branding over the past couple years. I think she's going to continue obviously to play a very big part in their

branding so I like the move and I honestly I kind of like that they made it outside of the

norm of all the other moves that they made. It's a completely different place in the business, but it's also, it also
