locked on chiefs podcast. Another day, another great locked on chiefs

podcast for you and we have a doozy for you. Chris and I get into all kinds of aspects of how the chiefs go about prioritizing their free agency to set up the draft.

What's going on, players to look at philosophy about where to go after that, as far as defense

versus offense, positional needs, everything of what this last week of chaos really has done to set them up for the future.

You heard Chris and Seth talk yesterday about Alex Okefort, who I think is a really interesting signing in terms of what he can do to set the base of the defense.

We'll talk about him some more going forward, but today, the Chiefs made a surprise,

didn't think that Bichad Brel was back on the chief's radar after kind of

blowing them off last camp season you know it was in there for quite a long time they

kind of gave him the keys of the kingdom on his visit and then he

ended up not going. What we learned today from a couple of different sources is

that the chiefs were looking to give him a single year contract last season and

he was not interested so he passed the

chiefs moved on and ended up getting that kind of contract from the Green Bay

Packers who elected not to bring him back this season although I think in small number of snaps I thought he played pretty well for them.

Well, the chiefs circled back around after not getting Ronald Darby and decided that,

hey, we're going to try this again so what they've done is sign

beshad Brelin a guy who played in Washington with Kendall Fuller and was successful

there and like I said put in some good work I had a like an 18.8% Hawk rate

meaning those plays where he gets a pick or a P. B. U. versus the number of targets

that he was subjected to. So a very good score amongst the top 12 in the

NFL last season although he only played seven games with five starts so much
