Summary

I'm not on the train with folks saying Sunday night is a must win for the Chiefs, I've seen them win way too many games in a row to believe that.  But I think the team may approach it like a playoff game and that could be real trouble for the Lions.    You can't ask for a better setup for the Missouri Tigers to host Alabama.  This is the perfect storm and you should change your schedule and block off three hours or so Saturday at 11:00 and watch this one no matter who you root for.    The Phillies season ends in shocking fashion.  Super college basketball fan "Sister Jean" dies at 106, we'll remember her grace and charm rooting her team to the Final Four in 2018.    Me and Jessica spent a couple hours visiting some old buildings downtown Thursday that gave us chills hearing the history of it all and seeing what the new owners are doing to turn a couple city blocks into an entertainment area.   Then, Lee Sterling of www.paramountsports.com has our football picks for the weekend and our Final Final is a fast food chain stepping outside their lane.

Well, it's a bit of a stretch to say the Chiefs game against the Lions Sunday night is a must win,

0:15.0

but for most teams in the NFL, it certainly would be.

0:18.7

The Chiefs have enough pedigree the past few years in history to say they're capable of going on a 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 game winning streak because they've done it.

0:28.9

So you can't ever really count the Chiefs out.

0:31.0

The math won't allow it even if they lose this game to the Lions on Sunday night.

0:35.0

Coming in, the Lions now are probably thought of as the best team

0:38.4

in the National Football League. Everybody's got a loss. The Eagles lost again on Thursday night

0:44.5

against the New York Giants. I feel pretty good about this. We'll talk about it in a minute.

0:49.6

I actually called a couple buddies and said, man, the money line on the Giants looks really good. These

0:53.8

division games can be really hard in the NFL, and the Giants were waiting for the Eagles

0:58.5

in every possible way. It was fantastic to watch. More on that in a moment. Is there something

1:03.2

really good going on in New York for the future, no doubt? But the Chiefs present right now is that

1:09.0

they started slow this year.

1:11.4

Maybe they were moping.

1:12.6

Maybe it was Super Bowl hangover.

1:14.2

Maybe the hype of how hard they prepared and how gritty they were was overdone in the offseason.

1:21.3

They came out slow.

1:22.6

They looked a little lifeless the last two weeks.

1:24.3

The offense has been great.

1:25.9

We know that Spags and his defense are going to find a whole bunch of games where they're really good and limit their opponent.
