And we're off. Nothing personal word of the day September 8th, 2023. The NFL season

0:22.8

has started. It's a holiday for so many of you. Hundreds of millions of people excited

0:28.0

to watch the beginning of the football season. We have the Chiefs and Lions play. I'm looking

0:32.8

forward to it all day. It's that great feeling when you know that something's happening

0:36.6

at the end of the day. You get through the day. You wait for it to start. I knew there

0:40.6

were some U.S. Open tennis, some semi-finals, women's semis I wanted to watch. But I'm not

0:46.4

a pre-game guy necessarily when there's something else. So I was watching the tennis until

0:52.3

kickoff. And there's just something amazing. A new season kicks off. And Mike Toreco had

0:57.4

a great line saying, it's in the distance, but the road to Vegas has started. And I was

1:05.1

thinking that every time a season starts, everybody thinks all 32 NFL teams. And it doesn't

1:13.3

matter. Even the Cardinals think it. No matter what year over under is the matter for

the favor to the dog. Hey, you never know. We are right now. Oh, and oh, tied for first.

1:22.8

My teacher used to say zero, zero, say zero, zero. Oh, oh, is a letter. Zero is a number.

1:28.0

Everyone's zero and zero. So I'm watching the game. And I'm getting excited. Everything's

1:33.3

great. I know my pick of the day is the chiefs. I'm honored to watch my homes, thinking

1:38.8

about how long he's been in the league already. And then you get a drop wall here, a drop

1:43.0

wall there, a commercial here, 10 minutes in. God, there are a lot of commercials and stops

1:47.7

in the action. When there's no action in baseball, people lose their minds. Gotta have more

1:53.6

action. Let's go pitch clock. Now there's a play clock in football, but so many commercials.

2:01.5

And then I tried to go back to the tennis during the commercials, but I cut the cord. I'm

2:05.8

on Hulu. And there's no last channel. So I have to go back to recent, which is one hit

2:12.2

of the remote, then press enter on what I was recently watching, which was the tennis.
