Buckroofing presents Kevin Keatsman has issues.

All things considered, it couldn't have gone better for the Kansas City Chiefs

in night one of the NFL draft in the first round.

The Chiefs come away with two players that we

know a lot about all of a sudden. Trent McDuffie, a cornerback from the University of Washington,

and George Karlobkus, the edge rusher from Purdue University. Of course, you know that I wanted

the Chiefs to get a receiver and make some big bold move like the Detroit Lions did move up to 12 and get James and Williams. The Lions gave up a lot,

although the Vikings were very upset with this trade. Vikings fans just livid that the Lions

jumped up and got James and William's instead of the Vikings taking him right there. The Lions gave up,

the important part here is they gave up the number 32 pick and the number 34 pick along with the 66 pick. So we know what the Chiefs traded to get

McDuffie. They gave 29, but they kept 30. They traded 94 and 121 to the Patriots, moved up eight

spots, got Trent McDuffie, the cornerback that they valued. This is a completely different

three draft pick trade than what

the Lions gave up. The Lions gave up 32 and 34, so the Chiefs would not have gotten Carl

Loftus. You would have essentially traded McDuffey and Carlopter's because you'd had to give up the

29 and the 30 to move up to number 12 to get James and Williams.

Even I will tell you that price is too high.

They needed a second player last night.

It's one thing to trade up, get the guy you want, and still keep either 29 or 30.

We knew it was going to be 30.

I mean, the chiefs were always going to trade 29 and keep number 30 and get two players the first night that they had in their top 18 to 20 on the board, which is exactly what the Chiefs got.
