Summary

The Chicago Bears are coming off a tremendous comeback over the Green Bay Packers, but now they take on the favorite in the NFC in the Los Angeles Rams. The Bears made great adjustments in the second half, but need to come out with a better initial plan when the Rams come to the Windy City. For the Rams, they know the Bears can make a comeback and if they let go of the rope like they did against the Carolina Panthers, they will lose. The San Francisco 49ers will need to rely on their defense to take down the Seattle Seahawks, but the issue is the 49ers run defense can't be relied on and the Hawks will throw the ball better than the Philadelphia Eagles. In the AFC, it is all about defense as the Houston Texans and New England Patriots are coming off dominant performances from the wild card round. However, the offensive advantage clearly goes the the Patriots after C.J. Stroud had a meltdown in Pittsburgh. The Buffalo Bills passing defense has been excellent this year and the Denver Broncos can't run the ball consistently. That leans toward Buffalo taking the next step. In other NFL news, the Eagles and the Los Angeles Chargers made big changes to their offensive coordinator role and now they hope this will allow them to get to the next step in 2026.
