Hello, you're listening to Chelsea Shorts from the RHS, an exclusive peak behind the scenes of the greatest flower show on

Earth. Today, meet the real stars off the show The Plants. I'm Bunny Guinness and I'm

landscape architect. Plants this year have been very difficult, as I'm sure everybody's been telling

you, because they've had such huge temper extremes. So some things are in bud that should

be in flower and some things have just gone over so fast. Like the cherries came and went in six days

and normally you'd expect a month and that's just that really hot after the cold. The planting is all

quite informal this year, I would say more emphasis on plants this year. Definitely.

I think people have been getting a bit fed up with these very sterile, big, blokey type gardens,

and I think they're all a bit softer and more plancy, and I think the public are going to be pretty happy this year.

There's something like, is it 3,000 new plants come into plant finder every year?

3,000 every year.

And that might be ones that we haven't known about in the wild.

It might be new cultivars or whatever.
