was fully across this story across the weekend. It was Saturday, wasn't it, where it first emerged

that Rinaldo wanted to leave, Laurie.

What's the sort of background to this

before we get into whether he was at training or not today?

Yeah, quite.

Very pertinent was the story by David Ornstien and assisted by Dan Sheldon a couple of weeks ago where they revealed that George Mendez had met with Chelsea and also had conversation with Bay- Munich and the subject of that conversation was Christian Ronaldo.

So I suppose that was perhaps the starting gun in this potential saga that we're now seeing unfold.

And then Saturday night Duncan Castles of the times

broke the story that Ronaldo had actually informed United that he wanted to leave so that was kind of an escalation in in developments David Ornstein then sourced that himself and we did the story on the athletic and then yesterday was basically spent trying to figure out exactly what the next step would be and as we'll get on to in terms of in turning up for training that was
