chef and restaurateur behind the beloved Nashville spot, Henrietta Red. Julia grew up in Nashville, left a train in some of the country's top kitchens,

then came home to open the kind of place she wanted to eat at herself,

welcoming, warm, and focused on thoughtful seasonal cooking.

She recently opened a second place, Judith, a stylish spot in Swanee, Tennessee,

and I was lucky to visit last weekend with my friend Libby Callowaway. Some of you know Libby. She is the unofficial mayor of Nashville. We had the best meal and wanted everything on the menu. I was in town for the finale of our summer tastemaker tour with Visa and Open Table at the Frist Art Museum. We had the best time there. We got a private tour of the museum,

had a great dinner, and enjoyed a concert by singer-songwriter Jesse Baylon, who I adore.
