How does Tennessee beat Iowa State? How do the Vols win in advance on to the third straight elite eight? That's coming up in segment number three and talking a little hoops. Josh Ward. Josh Ward on a Thursday, Ward Wednesday on a Thursday coming up in segment number two. But first, here's a list of some things that I want to hear. Again, we don't get to see. We don't get to watch. But I want to hear good things about these 10 items or so, 9, 10 items or so for spring scrimmage number one for Tennessee football. That's set to take place about 9, 10 o'clock this morning out on, I think it's going to be in Neeland, actually.

So there's that. We'll start on offense. All about the quarterbacks. It is all about the quarterbacks. I want to hear about communication, right? I want to hear about both George McIntyre and Faison, Brandon, commanding the offense, getting everything in the right position, pre-snap checks and all that. I want those things to be check, check, check, check.

I want those things to be run very, very smoothly, right? Also about processing. Like, it's never going to be a finished product. You're still relatively at the beginning of spring camp, okay, working towards the middle of spring camp. So you're processing and all those things, they're never going to be finite. They're never going to be perfect. They will never be be perfect but they're never going to be finite they're never going to be perfect they will never be perfect but they're never going to be as

good as they can be this early in camp but I want to hear good things about George

and Faison processing post snap quickly right okay so snap snap got the football

making my one check that's closed I'm gonna go hit my damn hit my number two or

I'm gonna work from this progression to this progression dump dump off to number three. I want to, you know, reading this in main online of scrimmage, I need to give. I need to hold, you know, on the RPO, make those, make those, you know, checks the correct way. Processing information at a high clip. Again, you got to be able to make the throws, you've got to be able to know the playbook and line up and get your your teammates

and position to go and be successful. But at the end of the

day, it's all about processing. So, quarterback, check, check, got to know all things about

the quarterbacks tomorrow. And hopefully you do hear some good things based on who you speak

to. All right.

So, you know, scrimmage number one as well, it's usually the sloppiest scrimmage, both in spring and in fall camp, okay? Because you're still trying to create some good habits. You're not, you know, muscle memory. You're not instilling those proper techniques and everything because, you know, football, it's a muscle memory game. And so a lot of times whenever you create bad habits or whenever you're sloppy, you get, you, you hold a lot.

You, you commit penalties and all that. You hope that there's not going to be a whole lot

of penalties committed. You want to, you want to be on the lower end of penalties. Offensive

lawmen, no procedural stuff, no false starts, no, nothing like that.
