Hello, my name is Lisa Renee Delgado.

I was born and raised here in Phoenix, Arizona and my upbringing as a child, it was pretty, pretty rough. My mother was a single parent and she had four children and we were all separated.

We didn't necessarily have our own home. She had, we had babysitters, kind of like foster parents, temporary foster parents, because we would stay in each home for maybe up to two weeks to a few months at a time.

One of my biggest dreams as a child

was having our own home and having my mom with us. It was really hard though because like I said

she was a single parent and she didn't have any support. So it was pretty rough. There was a lot of abuse,

emotional, physical. And in. emotional and when she would come when we would see her we you know I would just

think is this the day this today we're gonna go go home with my mom but it didn't happen and it didn't

happen until I was 12.

And that's when we finally got our own home.

My mother was, I never forget she was so excited because

she actually bought her own home and and we were so happy because you know we had our mom back and

and we had our own home and we had our own bedroom you know we didn't have to share with anyone and we'd have to worry about
