Hey everybody Kevin Rose here. Welcome back to another episode of the Kevin Rose show. I'm really excited to have Chase Jarvis on the show. I have known Chase for gosh I would say over 10 years or so now. He's the founder of a massive online platform called Creative Live that teaches

people how to do things like photography and writing and all different types of skills

are on this platform. But I'm excited to have him on today because he has a new

book out called Creative Calling. And this is not just another book on how to be creative, but it really is a blueprint and a plan to teach you

how to go out and pull out that inner creativity that he believes everyone has.

And I have to agree with him.

There's so many people that I've had come up to me and say, one of two things.

One, either I don't have a creative bone in my body or two, I have this idea but I don't

want to do it because of X and X could be I have kids or X could be I don't have enough time

or I don't have enough money or don't have enough resources or it's not what my parents

told me to do.

And so we go in deep and explore all of this and really talk about what it means to take that

leap and what it means to be creative and how you can really

truly stand out if you decide to embark upon a creative venture.

And that can mean many things.

It can mean a brand new business that you decide to launch or it could be growing mushrooms in your backyard, which is actually something I'm doing right now.

Because I'd like to be a lifelong learner and try different new exciting things and I think that in reading

Chase's book he's done a really good job on how to tease this out of people and get people

that would normally think this isn't for me and make them help them realize that they do have creativity inside of them
