Benjamin is in the Mississippi capital of Jackson. I am in Arlington, Texas. We're recording

this about four hours from first pitch for Ole Miss. They play Arizona. They play Texas. They play

Clemson. You know that by now and by the time you hear this podcast, two of those games will

be completed. But then I'll tell you, I've been texting people this morning. I got out here

last night. And I know for me, you know, college baseball has become sort of my career in a lot

of ways. This thing I like the most, the things I get into, the thing that, dude, I'm feeling old.

This is year number 20. It's year number 20 on the beat right here covering almost baseball.

So Carl Afordy and I both, we started the same year.

He got back on staff 20 years ago, too.

I was talking to him about it yesterday, and we were kind of coalescing together about how old we're getting here all of a sudden.

But it is cool.

You know, I don't dread college baseball starting because I enjoy it and I get in a routine.

And I really do.

I love the sport.

I like covering this program so much.
