This is Tuesday, August 5th, about 90 or so minutes ago.

Mary Kay Cabot reported, which had been trending that way that the Browns plan to start Shador Sanders on Friday night in the preseason opener.

So I am in Charlotte.

I believe the Browns have just landed in Charlotte.

Wednesday morning joint practice with the Panthers. Thursday off day, there'll be a walk through for the Browns.

And then Friday night, everybody will be watching. So if the situation is, as I read it, should or might play the whole game.

The starters aren't going to play.

Some of them will, but none of the top line guys, the older guys, the guys who are locked

into jobs, right?

That was always kind of the loose plan.

Then when you look at the four-man quarterback competition, it really has not been that,

but more on that in a minute.

Joe Flacco is not going to play.

Kenny Pickett is just easing back in. He missed three practices. He did only individual drills for a couple of practices. He did throw some seven on seven yesterday before the Browns came down here,

but you would look at the target for him next week, and he obviously wouldn't go from not playing

to playing in a preseason game. So then you have Dylan Gabriel, who Stefansky said Monday had some hamstring tightness after Saturday, which was his busiest day because that's the day Shador didn't throw, right? Stick with me now here and remember that the Browns did all of this to themselves, chose all of this. But anyway, StefFancy comes out Monday and says Dylan Gabriel has hamstring tightness. He's going to be limited. Well, then we get to practice and Dylan Gabriel's in every drill that he normally would be except one. Now, was he running around a bunch? I don't know. Will he participate tomorrow morning? I don't know. but it would make sense that to limit him in that regard with the hamstring and then certainly we wouldn't put him in that spot.
