Welcome to episode 32 of Criminal Broads, a true crime and history podcast about wild women on the wrong side of the law.

I'm your host, Tori Telfer, true crime writer, author of Lady Killers,

and as you know if you've been listening to this, currently working on not stressing out about

just working on a book about con women that I think is going to be really fun to read once I'm

done with it in approximately 10 million and a half years. As you listen to this podcast today,

guess where I will be? I will be in jury duty. How on brand is that? I got to say this is my

first time ever being called for jury duty. I am excited to sort of see this part of this system that I often write about from the inside,

but also I'm human and I'm really annoyed.

And as a freelancer, I'm really stressed about losing a day of work.

And am I going to lose more than a day of work?

I don't know how this goes yet.

So I've heard sometimes you're in there for 15 minutes,

and then you're out again. Of course, sometimes you don't get chosen. And sometimes you get
