In 2008, one of the most popular movies back then was The Dark Knight.

And one of the most prolific scenes in that movie that went viral around that time

was this particular quote,

you will either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

When someone lives a great life and helps others, they tend to be considered a hero.

However, as time passes, they can become corrupted for whatever reason.

And soon they will live long enough to become the villain.

This change is almost always certain for most of our superheroes,

unless they die early in their heroism or quit the business of being a superhero altogether.

No matter what good intentions you have, absolute power eventually corrupts.

As long as you live and continue, you must understand that if you're not careful,

you can turn into the same thing that you are condemning.

Be it by accident or be it by intent.

You can fall for the same corruption that you yourself have fought to eliminate.
