Gonna Carson changed my life twice.

It was just like a dream. It was just like everything I had worked for and dreamed about has come to fruition.

They said Johnny fell overlapping.

It makes me so happy.

I made him laugh.

But with Johnny, you know you knew you had a kid audience and you could really go great.

My wife at the curtain all held real loose backstage.

People were running up and she said, go back out, go back out, go back out.

Johnny wants you back.

guest who regularly appeared on the show and the top people in entertainment

that were influenced by Carson. Today I'm talking to one of my all-time

favorite Johnny Carson guests, actor-host commentator Charles Groden. He's probably best known for appearing in midnight run

opposite Robert Teniro, the Beethoven movies, and his long-running talk show on

C NBC.

For anyone listening, not familiar with Charles Groden's Carson appearances, they were

absolutely hilarious.

Groden would go on the show in character as himself and proceed to insult Johnny.

Some of the audience members would not get the joke and they would booed in.

They thought it was real and Carson loved every second of it.
