Hey, everybody, welcome to the Chad Prather Show.

Can I do a little radio type episode today?

You know, I've always been a big fan of people like Paul Harvey.

People like Louis Grisard.

If you don't know who Louis Grisard is, you're not from the South.

His writing, at least, he wasn't necessarily a radio guy, but just storytellers.

And I don't know if you know this or not, but I want to remind you that today, May 1st, 2025,

it is the National Day of Prayer.

Now, that's significant, and I want to get into why it's significant historically,

and just sort of tell you some stories not only from history, but some insight as to why I think that we need to get back to understanding why, not only prayer, but having a national day of prayer

is an important thing. Take a sip of water here.

So we're going to talk about it. Today is the National Day of Prayer. I hope you guys are doing well.

I'm going to turn my volume up just a little bit so I can hear myself. I'm going to be able to set the mood with you guys here. I brought my volume up just a little bit. So I can hear myself. I'm going to be able to

set the mood with you guys here. Brought the lights down just a little bit. So this will be one of

those that hopefully won't put you to sleep because I think this is an exciting topic. This is

something we don't talk about very much. You know, 30 days prior to the election, I felt like God had impressed on me to call people to prayer. And so we posted a daily

prayer every day. I'm still at least five times a week posting a daily prayer. They're not every day.

And I hope people are praying them and declaring them and using them. It's sort of become a thing.

And I believe in the power of prayer. And so I want to talk to you today

about how important it is that we as a nation get back to understanding the providential hand of God

that has brought us this far. And I believe has a place to take us still. We have a future and a
