elephant I want to make sure is out of the room is I know over the years the characterization of Dr. Fumanchu, who I'll probably just be calling Fumanchu from this point forward, is always kind of the stereotypical racial aspect.

If you really spend time reading some of the source material, you'll find out

that's not completely accurate. In fact, a lot of the misconceptions about the character

didn't really come until the movies, of one of which is the early novels, never had the

trademark Fumanchu mustache.

That was something that was brought into by the movies themselves.

So I guess we should really get started with who actually introduced Dr. Fumanchu, who's a master, master criminal.
