My name is Matt, and my special guest host for this episode of Comics with Without Pulp is the great Steve Bryant.

Steve, how you doing?

I'm great. How about you, Matt?

I'm doing fine.

Nothing too exciting happening other than, you know, doing the recording,

but other than that, trying to stay as busy as I can without staying too busy.

Well, I'm flattered that you invited me along to talk about The Rocketeer.

And as we're recording, we're one week away from the fourth anniversary of David Stevens' passing, which was March 11th.

So it seems kind of appropriate to talk about him right about now.

Actually, I have to talk with Pants.

And I think he's looking for it to be with it.

I don't know if it'll be the week that we're recording right now.

I think it might be next week, so it actually might be closer to the anniversary,

incidentally. So I guess this is a good way of remembering him.

Yeah, I think so.

I guess it all depends on how this episode comes out.

What the feedback is, is whether that it was a good way to remember him or just a footnote.

Yeah, we don't want those bums talking about him again.

I know there's probably some people that are listening to this thinking of all the pulp characters to pick, why the Rocketeer.

And even though he wasn't technically a pulp character, I still consider, because he was set in the 30s, of a pulp character.

So that's why I decided that I needed to at some point do The Rocketeer.
