Today's episode, we're going to be talking about none other than Doc Savage, the man of bronze.

This was when Matt asked me to do this, I jumped because Doc Savage is one of my favorite of the pulp characters.

You know, truthfully i looking back at the exposure that i've had to doc savage and it it's you one of them because i remember at a wild pig sale you said

here's a doc savage comic and at the time i wasn't overly interested and the other was the

crossover that happened with the Shadow in the third series

that put out by DC.

Having research for this episode, I am actually interested in the character.

And I'll say why as we continue on.

But just first off to give you a little bit of a history of the character.

Of course, the great people at Street and Smith publications,

they were having great success with The Shadow,

so they decided to capitalize on it.

And during the process, a couple guys created Doc Savage.

It was partial creation with a publisher Henry Ralston and an editor, John, it looks like, Nanovic.

But the main guy who gets the credit for it is Lester Dent.

And Doc Savage first appeared in 1933.

It seems to be a running theme with a lot of the pulp writers that they come up with a pen name, fictitious name to use.
