CGS Presents Classic Geekspeak, Episode 263, an interview with Terry Moore.

Hey, everyone, this is Peter Rios.

Today's classic episode is in honor of Jamie Dallessandra on what is his 48th birthday, September 5th, 2014.

In honor of his memory and his birthday, Hans had the great idea to represent the first time we ever talked with one of Jamie's favorite comic book creators, writer and artist Terry Moore.

Terry Moore is the man behind titles such as Strangers in Paradise, Echo,

and the current Rachel Rising, as well as a small run on the 2008 volume of runaways, three

issues of birds of prey from the first volume and many others. At the time of this recording,

Strangers in Paradise was just a few issues away from wrapping up, and knowing what a great fan Jamie was of the title and of Terry's,

I secured Terry Moore for an interview without telling Jamie as a surprise, as you'll hear

in the opening few minutes.

From this interview, we would then go on to do several Book of the Month Club episodes

on the various Strangers in Paradise volumes, and Terry Moore was a guest on each of those.

It was a series of episodes and a title that I know Jamie was proud to share with listeners

and his fellow CGS hosts. I think it's safe to say that Jamie's enthusiasm for the series

and for our chats with Terry Moore helped to turn many a listener onto the book and onto the

creator.
