| 1:34.0 | It's about a 30-page document that kind of goes through. |
| 1:36.8 | I mean, early church fathers goes through the patristic period. |
| 1:39.8 | It goes through the medieval period. |
| 1:41.1 | It goes through, man, the Protestant Reformation and the Scotsworthies and the Scottish Presbyterians. It goes through Charles Spurgeon. Without further ado, I want to turn you over to my buddy, my partner in crime, Michael Miller |
| 2:04.6 | over there in Denver, Colorado. How you doing, buddy? |
| 2:08.6 | I'm good, man. Just hanging out, chilling, getting stuff ready. |
| 2:13.6 | We're breaking ground on our basement. We're going to get a bedroom and a bathroom put in for guests because we have a new baby coming, which means we're out of bedrooms. Yeah, that's about it, man. We had our, we had a baptism in our new building, first baptism in our new building this last Sunday. Oh, fun. Pretty cool. Do you remember the story about Dina giving a guy a prophetic word that kind of detailed what he went through when he was in Afghanistan and because of that word he became a Christian. Oh no. You should share it again. I told you this story. If you feel liberty to share, go ahead. I mean, it sounds maybe vaguely familiar, but I don't recall it. Oh, this was so cool. So at one of our home groups, we, you know, we, we say that our home groups are a place where we practice the gifts and that kind of stuff. And so, you know, we had this one guy who would come to our church every week. His name is Matt. Everybody knows him here now. But he, his wife is a believer, and she would drag him to church. And he would do it to support her. But he just had to decide that God wasn't for him. |
| 3:08.8 | And none of us really knew why, but I remember, you know, every week we'd take communion, we'd say to people like, hey, you know, refrain for the meal unless you can confidently say that Jesus is your Lord, that you've trusted him for forgiveness of your sins and give you new life. If that's you, you're welcome at the table with us. outside of that we ask that everybody refrain and just observe and pray, maybe ask the Lord if he's real. |
| 3:26.1 | And so he would always respect that rule. |
| 3:28.4 | It was very, you know, he's a military guy, so respect, honor, those things matter to him. And so |
| 3:33.4 | he would refrain from taking the table with us. But he got invited to go to Dina's home group, |
| 3:39.1 | Jeremy and Dinas, and Dina gave him a word that detailed both the date and the experience that was probably the single greatest experience in his life, that was the most traumatic experience in his life, but also the moment where he decided he just didn't believe in God. |
