And today we are talking on the 15th of May.

So the voters will be going to the polls towards the end of next week,

so that's just a bit of context. On the 23rd to the 26th of May, nearly 400 million EU citizens

from the 28 member states will go to the ballot box to elect 751 MEPs to the European Parliament.

This year, the polls are showing that the Grand Coalition of the Centre-right European People's Party and the centre-left Socialist and Democrats will lose their majority of seats for the first time.

That means that Eurosceptics could obstruct and set the tone of the EU agenda for the next five years,

issues like migration. And today we're going to talk about the main battlegrounds for the elections.
