Summary

To celebrate the 5 Year anniversary of The Playbook, I was joined by Tim Storey, Ben Baller, and one of my favorite coaching clients, Shawn Walchef. In 2017 - I thought there were "too many podcasts" to start my own, it’s amazing what can happen if you enjoy the consistent, persistent pursuit of your potentia I can’t believe that today is the 5-year anniversary of the first episode of my podcast The Playbook. My excitement stems from how many people we have positively impacted with the show! Hearing your stories and feedback on how the show has impacted your business or life remains my greatest joy. Starting as a weekly podcast featuring some of my closest friends, athletes, and entrepreneurs sharing their "playbook to success", it quickly grew into a daily show with over 1,200 episodes featuring the likes of Cameron Diaz, Gary Vaynerchuk, Maria Sharapova, Tony Hawk, Tilman Fertitta, business leaders like Chip Wilson (Founder, Lululemon), Howard Behar (President, Starbucks), to legendary entertainers like Dan Aykroyd, Randy Jackson, Danica Patrick, thought leaders Jack Canfield, Sadhguru, Marianne Williamson, and many more. I genuinely appreciate all of your support in making this podcast possible. are some of those critical lessons as you look back when you first started now that you're

0:19.8

one of the world's greatest speakers that you would love to share with people and they

0:23.9

say, Hey, Tim, I want to get started. What are some of the key lessons?

0:28.0

Yeah, I think one of the things as both of us have discussed before, I think everybody

0:33.0

needs their secret sauce. Like, let's say for Ed Mylead, it's max out for Grand Cardone.

0:42.4

It's 10x for two or three. It was set back to come back. So everybody needs that secret

0:50.0

so for a long time, what was yours? Like you have so many great secret sauce. What was

0:56.6

one of your first? You know, my first was gratitude. I, and I'm amazed, you know, saying

1:01.9

thank you before you go to bed and when you wake up, the easiest way to change your life

1:06.0

and people through that learn coherence that, Hey, even the simplest thing that's free

1:12.7

takes 0.1 seconds to do. Everyone agrees is powerful. You can ask Deepak Sadguru or Tim

1:19.0

story. They're going to tell you Dave gratitude is a secret sauce, but we forget to say thank

1:24.0

you and we don't say thank you. So that's where I started and then everything from there

1:29.2

forgiveness, accountability, inspiration, effective communication, daily practices, all

1:34.0

stem off of this mindset of being gracious, finding light, love and lessons.

1:38.9

Well, I think that that's one of the best of all the ones that we have because as your

1:44.0

say, gratitude is now and gratitude needs to be for life. So that's awesome. But so as

1:50.1

far as being a good speaker, number one, find your own secret sauce, which is like your

1:53.9

own hook. Because then when people are trying to bite speak, they'll think, okay, should

2:00.7

I get Dave? Should I get Tim's story? Should I get who should I get Tim? They're thinking
