We all experience God's presence and voice in ways that are tailored to who God created us to be.

And this is the very heart of the Daily Still ministry. Not that you would tune in to my voice,

but that this would be a place and a dedicated time where you can pause and truly hear God speak to you.

Many of you asked, how did I begin my stillness journey?

I grew up in Southern California as the middle child of five.

Being a middle child and an I've always had a deep desire for peace.

We attended a Presbyterian Church where I was baptized and became a member at 12. Faith has always been an important part of my life,

and I'm grateful for my faith roots.

When I was in junior high, my parents divorced,

and I can remember, even then, turning to my faith and to prayer

to try to find the peace that I so desired.

After high school, I began my own faith journey

of seeking God, and I started attending Calvary Chapel, which was part of the Jesus movement in the

60s and 70s. During this time, I discovered more about the Holy Spirit, a missing part of my younger faith experience.

In my 20s, I got married, I had two kids, and I continued on my faith journey by going to church and being involved in Bible study.
