The United States no longer has a stellar AAA credit rating.

Late today, Moody's became the last of the three credit rating agencies

to downgrade the U.S. a notch to A.A.1.

That could raise the government's cost of borrowing.

Moody suggested the government is doing too much borrowing and spending, said Congress and

successive administrations have failed to reverse the trend of large deficits and growing interest
