It's Thursday, May 28th. Here are your five things.

Number one, the new strikes. How many times can the United States and Iran trade fresh attacks before the ceasefire falls apart?

That question is being tested yet again today. Overnight, the U.S. military said that it carried out new strikes on an Iranian site near the Strait of Formuz that they say posed a threat to U.S. forces and commercial shipping traffic.

They shut down four Iranian attack drones and hit a ground control station in the port city

of Vandar Abbas that they say was about to launch a fifth drone.

Still, U.S. Central Command maintains that these were defensive, not offensive actions, and intended to keep the ceasefire secure.

On the deal to end the war, President Trump now says that he is in no-what rush to finalize it.

And he lashed out at Iran's claim that the final deal would include Iran and Oman controlling the straight and coordination together.

Would you accept a short-term deal that allows Iran and Oman to control the strait?
