I'm James Flipping in for Sid Rosenberg on this Monday, December 15th, and what a crazy weekend it was.

I mean, every time you turned around, every time you picked up your phone, it was some new notification about another mass shooting, a ambush in Syria.

You had the mass shooting in Brown University where up in Providence cops can't seem to

figure it out.

Some suspect was in custody released late yesterday.

Obviously, the Bondi Beach attack in Australia, in which a Hanukkah celebration was shot up by a father-son Islamist duo is going to be a main topic of discussion today.

And also Rob Reiner, the legendary director and actor, was killed in his home in Los Angeles,

by his, allegedly by his son and his wife was killed.

So no question about it that this is one of those weekends, one of those kind of news cycles where you say,

hey, uncle, can we get a break?

Not the holiday season vibes that we were looking for.

But Sid Rosenberg has the day off.

He is getting a chance to celebrate Hanukkah, and he's going to be doing that down in the nation's capital.

Now, December 21st is the actual winter solstice.
