Get ready. It's going to be a big, busy weekend in the Seattle area, starting with the opening of the light rail across Lake Washington Saturday.

A ribbon cutting and street fair begins the festivities at 9 a.m. at the new Judkins Park Station.

Then the first train will leave from there around 10 a.m. Sound transit's planning celebrations

throughout the afternoon at three other stations, International District Chinatown, Mercer Island,

and South Bellevue. Also, tomorrow, no King's protests are planned throughout the region.

Attorney General Nick Brown is expected to speak. From there, protesters will march to the fountain at Seattle Center.
