Hey, good morning. I'm Patricia Murphy. It's Friday. This is Seattle now. This week, a passenger stepped in to save a King County metro bus from disaster. The supersonics are coming back, for real this time. And wheels to the road, people. Lime scooters are going to start chirping at you if you drive on the sidewalk. K-E-X-P-D-J-J Eva Walker and author Jacob Beauty are here to break down the week.

But first, let's get you caught up.

Get ready. It's going to be a big, busy weekend in the Seattle area, starting with the opening of the light rail across Lake Washington Saturday.

A ribbon cutting and street fair begins the festivities at 9 a.m. at the new Judkins Park Station.

Then the first train will leave from there around 10 a.m. Sound transit's planning celebrations

throughout the afternoon at three other stations, International District Chinatown, Mercer Island,

and South Bellevue. Also, tomorrow, no King's protests are planned throughout the region.

In Seattle, the biggest gathering will be at Cal Anderson Park on Capitol Hill. That begins at noon.

Attorney General Nick Brown is expected to speak. From there, protesters will march to the fountain at Seattle Center.

Organizers are aiming for more than 100,000 attendees.

Protests are also planned in several nearby cities, including Bellevue, Shoreline, and Renton.
