Get it the virtue. She wants to cancel Mother's Day. Another Mother's Day came and went on Sunday.

She was disappointed yet again. So why do the same thing over and over and over again? So she's

suggesting to the family. That's it. That's it. That's it. No more Mother's Day. This is one of

castes friends. Yeah. My friend Carrie is dealing with this right now and I don't know what to tell her

because logically I can totally see what she's saying and it makes sense but it makes me sad for her.

So she has two older boys. They're like 10 and 11 and every single Mother's Day that rolls around.

But she used to get stuff from their classrooms when they were little and little presents like that.

And for her it's not about the gifts but it's there's no acknowledgement. She doesn't get any of the

quote-unquote perks you might assume you would normally get with Mother's Day. So think about what

you did for your mom growing up if you grew up with mom in the house. You probably let her sleep in.

You made her breakfast in bed. Maybe a card or two. Maybe some presents or flowers. Something like

that. Doesn't have to be grandiose or a huge gesture but some like little notes and then you let

mom off the hook for the chores all day right. Like so you were supposed to do the laundry and the

dishes while mom sat and chilled. Well every single Mother's Day she's the first one up. She makes

everyone breakfast. She's taking care of the kids while her husband sleeps in. Maybe there's a card.

Maybe there's some gas station flowers and it's or a grocery store flowers and it's not that they're

from the grocery store. It's that they're still in the wrapper with like the big orange sticker on it.

Like they're not put in a vase or anything like that. They're kind of just unceremoniously like laid

on the kitchen counter. If she gets those nobody helps out around the house. Like it's just another

regular day for her where she's cleaning up after everyone and there's barely any acknowledgement.

And she said it makes her feel so sad and so unappreciated because every year she's like maybe they'll
