and see if they are truly classics or if we just remember them that way.

I am joined by Amy Nicholson, a film critic who writes for The New York Times.

team that shall not be named.

Just the basketball team that owns Los Angeles. Anyway, let's not talk about basketball. Let's talk

about James Bond and Daniel Craig as James Bond. Back in 2006, people did not like this at all.

We're going to get into the controversy of casting a blonde man as James Bond with humanity.

And we're going to get into my pick for best bond girl of all time. Eva Green has Vespirlin,

a bond girl who might be so charismatic and charming. She may have ruined the rest of Daniel Craig's

tenure. And I'm going to ask a question that I've been wrestling with. Did this franchise go too

far? Did they rip it down to the studs at the expense of continuing the James Bond tradition?

But did it do that and still make the best Bond film of modern history? I would say maybe.

Well, let's unspool it.

question that frankly, I'm surprised people care about because James Bond has gotten creaky

in the years that we have left him since gold finger. I mean, yes, we've seen James Bond
