And it's not just a normal Sunday.

It is Selection Sunday coming up. We will have the field of 68 in just a few hours. Got about

five games to go to be settled on Selection Sunday, the Big Ten championship, the SEC championship games, some other

smaller conferences as well, the American Ivy League, the A-10. Can we make the A-10 a three-bid

league the way it has been in the past, the way it feels right, the way it should be. If Dayton prevails in another

near buzzer-beater type contest, the way they did over St. Louis on Saturday, VCU's got to be in.

The Billikins already have to be in. And then if the Flyers got the auto bid, the 8-10 could have

three teams in. And I feel like that's the way it should be. I'd rather see three

teams from the Atlantic 10, the Mountain West Conference, the West Coast Conference, then 10 teams

from the SEC, or then the 11th place team from the ACC. Southern Methodist, I'm talking about you,

right?

ACC right now projected to potentially have eight teams in the field of 68.

SMU finished in 11th place in conference play.

They lost four out of their last five.

We don't need these teams who back it in to March Madness by losing four out of five like SMU or five out of six like the University of Texas who didn't even win a single game in

their conference tournament. We don't need them convoluting the field. We don't need those teams

at 18 and 14 going to Dayton for a playing game. The most preposterous rumor has been Auburn being on the bubble.

And I think right now they are firmly on the wrong side of the bubble,

which is where Stephen Pearl and the Tigers belong.

But Auburn finished the year, what, 17 and 15?
