Greetings, dear listeners, this is Jonah Goldberg, host of the Remnant podcast, brought to you by the Dispatch and Dispatch Media.

I am recording late for a solo pod.

It is 9.57 a.m. Friday, August 22nd.

It's late because I've been trying to do these more on Thursday evenings.

I've been trying to do them earlier on Friday mornings when I did it on Friday mornings.

But we had an important board call at 9 a.m. that I had to do.

And then there was this news that just broke within the last hour about John Bolton and his house being raided.

So that's what everyone's going to be talking about all weekend, at least here in Washington, D.C.

And I don't know much.

My wife was saying that apparently there is some document that he had, or Adam Kinsinger,

is saying that there was some document they had and that Bolton had been in negotiations

with the Justice Department or somebody for a long time about returning it for like over a year,

and then instead the administration pulled the trigger and did this.

We'll see.

We'll see what happened.

I, you know, I've known John Bolton for a long time in different capacities.

I wouldn't say we're buddies, but we get along.

I always have my disagreements with him, but I think he's a guy of serious integrity

and serious convictions.
