You know over the last 20 years I've seen a lot of things at the border a lot of issues

whether that's drug runners whether that's battles on the other side of the border even while I've been there. I mean I actually

remember being inside Nueva Laredo Texas going in and out of Nueva Laredo and

listening to the gunfire,

to the point where it was so deafening,

I thought I was going to lose some of my hearing.

It was ringing, you know, or standing on the other side of the bridge of Juarez, you know, inside El Paso looking into Juarez,

Mexico and just watching the cartels battle it out.

I mean, that is life on the border.

That's life in the Wild West, right?

But we've kind of become accustomed

to, okay, hearing those stories about the

narcos and the fights over the transit routes, mainly because US law

enforcement back then would shut off some of those spigots and their focus was mainly on

stopping the trafficking and it was bad then believe me it was bad that that's the

reason why in California they put up the corrugated

steel barriers which was the old Vietnam walls you know that was the border fence

for a while now Now we have, of course,

Trump's great fence, you know, the great wall, I call it the great wall.

And it's still an issue, I mean, in areas where the Biden administration stopped the building of the wall.

So there's open gateways.
