So you were born in Wales? I was. I was born in Wales, yeah, at an early age as they say.

And then you moved to the states. Yeah, I was born in Wales and then moved to the suburbs of London with my folks obviously.

And then to Canada for a while and then... suburbs of London with my folks obviously.

And then to Canada for a while and then to California.

My dad was with an international company.

Kept accepting transfers because there was a promise of a better life.

My mother didn't like Ontario, Canada because it was too cold,

didn't like Vancouver Canada because it was too wet.

Got to California, she loved it, and she said,

I'm not moving, so my dad left the company and started his own business and that's where we stayed in the Bay Area in the suburbs of San Francisco.

Where did you go to school? I went to high school in Arinda, California, and then I went to college at UC Davis, which is also why I ended up working.

Oh, okay, and how did that progression happen along?

Well, I went to UC Davis for my undergraduate because my folks didn't have a lot of money and I wanted to go to a good university and they wanted me to.

University of California is public university which at that time was very inexpensive.

I wanted to go to Berkeley but my dad wouldn't let me because it was the 60s and Berkeley was a wild place and

a hot spot as a word.

No man would want his innocent daughter to go to Berkeley.

So I went to Davis instead and Davis was actually very similar to Berkeley with the hippies and the free speech and the drugs and the sex on the rock and roll except that the press didn't cover Davis and so my daddy didn't know and nobody else did either so.
