Heller, had her car broken into a few years ago. I left my bag on the floor in the

back seat. And when she got back from dinner, it was gone.

It took me for a while that I was like someone like stole my stuff.

That's, you know, not cool.

The Bay Area is experiencing an insane epidemic of car break-ins right now.

San Jose had about 5,000 in 2017. Oakland had twice that, 10,000, but at San Francisco where things are the worst.

30,000 car break-ins just last year.

That's triple the number the city had in 2010.
