Today, we'll hear from Captain Joseph K. Tossig Jr. who was on board the USS Nevada during the attack on Pearl Harbor.

He took his post as Starboard anti-Aircraft Battery Officer, and even after being severely

wounded, refused to abandon his post until his crew forcibly carried him to safety.

He lost his left leg due to his injuries and received the Navy Cross for his bravery.
