0:08.4	episode where we focus on a particular astrological topic or theme. And today we're going to discuss
0:15.6	the energetics of the cancer solstice, known as the summer solstice in the northern hemisphere and the winter
0:23.8	solstice in the southern hemisphere. The solstice will be exact Friday, June 20th at 1042 p.m. Eastern
0:33.2	time. This is when the sun enters cancer and begins the next season of the year. Cancer is a
0:43.2	cardinal water sign that initiates the flow of movement, growth, development, and what is
0:52.3	ready to blossom based on what was initially planted back at the
0:59.1	spring equinox when the sun entered Ares and began this new cycle. Of course we know this is an
1:07.2	annual cycle and yet every year the energetics are different, especially as we look at it through the lens of astrology.
1:16.6	Now, this solstice has a lot more push to it because astrologically we are working with the squares between Saturn and Neptune and Ares
1:29.9	squaring Jupiter and the Sun in cancer.
1:33.9	And this is a square that also coincides with the third Jupiter-Saturn square,
1:41.2	which was exact June 15th,
1:48.1	and then also lines up with the upcoming Cancer New Moon on June 25th that involves the same dynamic square. So we're going through a process
1:56.7	here that's unfolding across the second half of June, and yet the solstice is a peak point in the
2:04.8	energy. Now I am going to reference it as the summer solstice simply because more of the globe's
2:12.3	population resides in the northern hemisphere. So that would pertain to many of you however I want to
2:20.1	acknowledge that I know many of you are in Australia New Zealand and the southern
2:24.7	hemisphere and this is your winter solstice so I will touch on that too but I want to
2:30.3	acknowledge that I'll be focusing mostly on the summer solstice energies.
2:35.3	The word solstice is derived from the Latin word, soul, sun, and cisterre to stand still.
2:44.4	It's the point in the sun's journey where it appears to pause and come to a standstill. It also reaches the most northernly point
