prompted an interruption of hand-wringing on the left and the question, who is this guy?

He's goop for men. Joe has sort of reprocessed that language through like this sort of bro filter.

It's all the same thing. It's just gendered differently. Also, how cancel

culture reduces or essentializes people and why it's so dangerous. Someone says something

insensitive. Then you summarize that as saying, oh, they're a racist. They're a misogynist. They're a homophobic.

It takes that one moment and then uses that to define what this person is.

of a question? Really? The presiding officer declines to read the question as submitted.

Senator from Massachusetts. Mr. Chief Justice, I send a question to the desk. You had Elizabeth Warren's

question, suggesting that the proceedings had tainted the court too.

At a time when large majorities of Americans have lost faith in government,

does the fact that the Chief Justice is presiding over an impeachment trial

in which Republican senators have thus far refused to allow witnesses or evidence

contribute to the loss of legitimacy of the Chief Justice,

the Supreme Court, and the Constitution.
